Sherri Broome
Patient Care Coordinator, Emergency Department, TGH, UHN
Sherri is currently the patient care coordinator (PCC) for the Emergency Department at the Toronto General Hospital (TGH) and chairs the Emergency Unit Council. Prior to this, she was a staff nurse with the department, a role she was in for 19 years. She received her diploma in nursing from the Loyalist College in 1985.
Sherri has a particular interest in patient flow initiatives and actively applies lean methodology to improve process efficiency. She led 2 rapid improvement events as part of the ED-GIM Transformation project for the acute and fast track processes.
