N Szecket

Nicolas Szecket, MD

Staff Physician, General Internal Medicine, UHN

Lecturer, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto

Nicolas Szecket is a lecturer with the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto and general internist at the University Health Network (UHN).  He received his BSc in Microbiology from the University of Toronto (U of T), his MD from McMaster University, and did his residency training back at U of T.  He is currently completing his Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.  His interests are in the wellbeing of developing and marginalized communities, infectious disease control, and poverty reduction.  Nic has practiced clinical medicine in various other countries including Argentina, Zimbabwe, and most recently, New Zealand, where he lived for three years.  While in New Zealand, Nic developed an ambulatory care training programme for the senior registrars and house officers in the department of internal medicine.
