Maria Tassone

Director, Allied Health, UHN

Lead for Interprofessional Education, UHN

Maria Tassone is the Director, Allied Health and the Lead for
Interprofessional Education at the University Health Network (UHN). Within her Allied Health role, Ms. Tassone provides leadership and direction for clinical practice, education and research across eight health professions. Ms. Tassone recently co-led the development of a new model of care for nursing and allied health in General Internal Medicine at UHN. She is also currently leading the development of the UHN strategy for Interprofessional Education across all disciplines. Ms. Tassone holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from McGill University (1991) and a Master of Science from the University of Western Ontario (1995s). Throughout her career, Ms. Tassone has held a variety of clinical, education, research and leadership positions across the province of Ontario, both in community and academic settings. Ms. Tassone brings valuable expertise to UHN in the areas of interprofessional collaboration and leadership; change management, and the integration of practice, education and research.
