Joanne Ryan is a Nurse Manager in the General Internal Medicine on 13 Eaton South. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto Baccalaureate Nursing program and has a Masters of Health Science in Nursing from Australia.
Joanne has held positions as a Nurse Manager for many years in various inpatient and ambulatory care settings at University Health Network. She worked in Nursing Information Systems for several years becoming an expert in nursing workload measurement and nursing worklife. Joanne was one of the team members that developed the successful business proposal to initiate a nursing resource team at UHN. She assumed the role of interim nurse manager to implement this proposal and subsequently has transferred to GIM.
