Christine Plaza
Designer and Project Manager, Centre for Innovation in Complex Care
Christine Plaza is a passionate and enthusiastic designer who specializes in digital media. She is interested in how media and technology can be used in health care to improve the experiences of both patients and care providers. Christine has collaborated on projects with the Mobile Digital Commons Network (MDCN) and the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine. Much of Christine’s work and research at the Centre for Innovation in Complex Care (CICC) is focused on the importance of feedback in the clinical environment and how it can be used for quality and process improvement. Christine is currently leading the development and implementation of several initiatives evaluating the collection and dissemination of feedback from patient and providers using web-based applications, kiosks and tablets. Christine's work has been presented at the 2010 and 2011 IPE Ontario Conference, published in Healthcare Quarterly and has appeared in the Toronto Star.
