Alma Naddafi is an Advanced Practice Nurse in the division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) at the University Health Network (UHN). She received her BScN from Ryerson University and her MA in Education from Central Michigan University. Alma’s clinical expertise includes management of central venous access devices, heart failure, confusion management and fall safety. She has a variety of nursing clinical experience including general surgery, neurology, emergency and intensive care. Alma has been in GIM for the last 16 years and worked in various roles including care leader and clinical educator.
Alma is a member of a number of professional organizations and various hospital committees. She has successfully led the accreditation process for GIM at UHN. Alma has presented at national and international conferences in least restraint and fall safety policies. Her interests include continuing to develop the APN role, improving patient satisfaction, and advancing quality of care initiatives in GIM.
